Crucifixion of Mary Magdalene

Betrayed by his own ancestors and deceived by his next of kin

He was forcefully snatched from a jovial existence

Without remorse they tied him up like a destructive beast

His limbs were shackled with big, heavy chains

They dragged him across long distances

Parading him as a captured outlaw

From the impact clothes were torn off from his back

They attempted to embarrass him with nudity

Blows were thrown from all angles, all sides

He was viciously kicked on every surface imaginable

Stones were hurled at his direction

Flesh opened, gaping wounds bled

He was alone, abandoned

A thorny tiara was placed on his bleeding head

Crowning him as the wreckage of his relations

Pollutant of the untainted blood

The single cause of impurity of their lineage

Facing his ruin, he summoned all his will

And struggled with his feet but managed to stand up

Tasting bitter dust in the process

Ignoring dull aches and painful throbs

He crawled and traced the ground with his bruised hands

At his feet, he cried "Enough"

He has suffered for most of his life

Enduring taunts and violence

He was put on trial for an offense unknown to him

For it was never spoken of in his presence

Perhaps, his only crime was being true to himself

Knowing fully well that he will never be accepted by his own people

Head held straight, full of pride he marched away

To the kingdom of other disciples, just like him

With the intent of joining them, forever

In their territory he will no longer be a martyr,

Where he will be ultimately blessed

To continue to spread benevolence.
