On This Side

Wheel of Fortune played a mischievous game

The contest of chance placed me on this seemingly unfavorable side

Where the position is of great uncertainty also rather vague

Layered with questions and worries

Neglectfully I was misplaced by a natural catastrophe

Points empty of either lock or key

My essence was shut in an incompatible vessel

That which cannot be exchanged

A consequence brought about by mystical causes and effects

I am therefore the embodiment of contradiction

Uniting two opposing poles I am tattered and torn in this one body

Pushing and pulling between two tendencies

I am profoundly weakened by enormous strain

Constantly suffering from nervous tension and anxiety

Sometimes swaying to the demands brought on me

Now here I am a product of self-doubt

A disheveled figure pacing resembling the rest of the crowd

Sadly, this tragedy can only be my predicament

No amount of empathy or sympathy can experience

Yet, if I should seek my proper place and show my sincere self

I would be confronting immeasurable risks

Of causing loved one's tears to flow

Of severing a long generation of bloodlines

And slashing off friendships and heartstrings

On this side inconsistent of what is within and out

For the time being I will remain to be frigid and frozen

Struggling to rise above this insanity

Though what I face is harsh, there will soon be a coming of age

When all we done and I will out in the open

Only then will I be able to cross to another side

Till that time comes I will continue to flow with the breeze

And adapt to my unfavorable conditions
